Our tags act as the product’s own unique passport. At key points during the product’s lifecycle, we ‘stamp’ the tag to record relevant information. This means, for example, that we can see how many of our products are living in their first home, how many are living in their second home, how many are being processed by now, sit down and how many have reached the end of their useful life.
We can only update the information stored on the tag if we have the product with us, or if we’re told of an update, and we add that information to its passport manually. This is where you can help! If you plan to gift or resell your now, sit down product, you can ask the recipient to register themselves as the new owner by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org and giving the email you used when you purchased. This will help us ensure we have a true picture of how our products are being loved in the world, so we can track how we’re measuring up to our promise of keeping as many of our products out of landfill as we can.
